No other band possesses the energy and posi attitude like With Honor does. If you think they are full on energy on plastic, catch them live. After putting out a couple releases on Stillborn Records the band finally got their call and signed on to Victory Records last year. They earned it too with well selling records and almost unbelievable cult following that they gained from being road dogs almost year round. Now the band is dropping their second full length, “This Is Our Revenge”, which is a title that has meaning beyond what can be seen in text alone.

“This Is Our Revenge” is saying that music and other forms of art can provide an outlet from how society today expects you to live your life. I would not say that old school hardcore is all that popular today, but With Honor must be doing something right, because people absolutely love them. These eleven tracks should go over well with scenes abroad, as long as people have an open mind to the bands growth and progression as they have stepped up the big leagues now and have a lot to prove. With Honors fast, upbeat and energetic sound is done very well and not to the point where it’s monotonous and annoying. Melodies, intense gang vocals and all around good song structure make for an interesting listen throughout this album. Not to mention enough two stepping parts to get your grandma up and going. With Honor have a message with each song, and you if feel like digging into each one you can probably pull out a pretty deep meaning within. With Honors job is to inspire, impact and to move you to do what you believe it despite what others may think and say. That is a true hardcore lifestyle that a lot of people live and believe in, With Honor are no different from every other hardcore kid that does this.

I am glad to see Victory signing bands like With Honor, Comeback Kid and Ringworm. It’s as if Victory is finding their roots and remembering the days when only hardcore bands rocked their roster. “This Is Our Revenge” is in my opinion the best stuff With Honor has done to date. After hearing this album I really want to see them live this Fall to see how the new material is played out live. I suggest that if you like hardcore music at all, you check out this album. If you know what hardcore is all about and understand it, you will get With Honor, and you will love them.
