Mabus is a five piece band from Orange County, New York. Started by pat(drums), matt(bass), dan(guitar), and shane(vocals) they started writing songs, and quickly gathered some fans. They've rocked shows in surrounding counties at venues such as The Wreck Room, The Crisis Zone, Club Crannell, The Vault, Club Culture, Olive's, Downtime in NYC and Club Marquee in Worcester, MA with such bands as My Bitter Rnd, The Sawtooth Grin, Premonitions of War, Between the Buried and Me, The Number Twelve Looks like You, Scarlet, Caliban, Remembering Never, Forgetting Tommorow and Umbrella. Sadly, but for their own good, complications and lack of effort resulted in the removal of dan from the lineup.

Searching for a new guitarist was quite hard. Finding exactly what they were looking for was a problem. Mabus tried out numerous guitarists, yet none suited them to their liking. Finally, a friend from another local band, dear diary, which broke up few weeks before, told them that dear diariy's guitarists (milton and ryan) were available, and hearing that they were both into bands such as the Sawtooth Grin, The Red Chord and Dillinger Escape Plan set it off.

It only took one practice and jaw dropping speed of the hands to confirm the new lineup. Only in the band 2 months, the guitarists have the songs down. Mabus now is in the process of writing new material, and plan to record a full length with jayson dezuzio again. He runs stained glass studios in pramus, nj, and recorded "cuddle monster" by the sawtooth grin, and "put on your rosy red glasses" by the number twelve looks like you. Be on the lookout for the first mabus full length by summer 2004 , and in the mean time, pick up a copy of the 5 song cd.
